We've had some fun trips the last while. And we have learned about cars. The trip to Mark Miller Subaru was fantastic. These people were so accommodating and supportive of the scouts I would highly encourage you to make a mental note to check them out next time you need a car. They had 6 or 8 people there helping us, after hours, at no cost. We pulled in the cars and the scouts got under them and learned a lot. Those not working inside went out to change the tire on a car using the car jack in the car. All went well. We ended the night by hitting Arctic Circle.
We also just went to FASTKARTS, a indoor go-cart race track on 3900 So and 500 W. I can't imaging a more fun fun night for the boys. They were grinning from ear to ear. They raced for 20 or 25 minutes, at speeds up to 35 miles per hour. There is still a debate about the winner, as Nathan Ipen who lead the entire race as passed by little brother Matt with a half lap to go when the yellow lights (a slow dow signal to use caution as a racer or car has a problem) were on. This family will have to settle it "in-house".
The race results are the last photo below.
